The international congress aims to address environmental issues from an interdisciplinary and critical perspective in order to contribute to the ‘ecological transition’ and the achievement of global health and more sustainable development - issues that have become relevant even from an institutional point of view (local, national and international). The Congress will take place in-person at the PUCPR. The official languages of the event will be Portuguese and English. Live streaming will be available, so as to reach an international audience. Two panels of online oral presentations selected through a CFP are also foreseen. These can focus on theoretical research, as well as experiences and philosophical-educational projects developed in different geographical and cultural contexts, with the intention of broadening the view of local professionals and favouring the exchange of ideas and teaching practices aimed at environmental awareness. The Congress sessions will be complemented by the mini-course ‘Philosophising outside the walls’, which will take place at the Colégio Integral in Curitiba. The event is organised with the financial support of the Fundação Araucária, the Secretaria de Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior (SETI), and the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES).
During the congress scholars will have the possibility to present a paper in online panels. To submit a proposal, participants must send an anonymised abstract of at least 300 and no more than 600 words, detailing the title, theme, problem, objective(s), methodology, theoretical framework, results, references and keywords (no more than 5). Submissions have to be submitted exclusively through the event’s website, using the login and password registered by the participant at the time of registration. When submitting their work, authors must indicate one of the thematic axes of the event (Philosophy and Education; Philosophy and Health; Philosophy and Sustainability). Co-authored proposals are welcome (max. 3 co-authors). Submission deadline: 15 June 2025. Communication of acceptance within 10 days after submitting the abstract (early submissions welcome). The general list of approved papers will be published by 01/08/2025.
